Storrington community Village Day was set for 27 June 2020.
Regrettably, due to Coronavirus concerns, this year’s Village Day has been cancelled
This free annual event is led by The Rotary Club of Storrington & Pulborough District with strong support from Storrington & Sullington Parish Council and local community clubs and groups. All proceeds from the event are used to support many village activities for young people.
Local young people benefit from 2019 Storrington Village Day
Cheque donations totalling £4,250 have been awarded to a number of local organisations in the community following the very successful Storrington Village Day event in June 2019.
Last year’s Village Day Committee Chairman, Tony Vaughan, takes the opportunity to say thank you to the recipient organisations and their leaders, many of whom are volunteers, for the work they do with young people in the community. “We were delighted to see the successful revival of Storrington Village Day and it is great to see money raised at this very popular community event going straight back into supporting our young people in Storrington.”
Tony also thanks the event organisers and sponsors whose help in various ways enables the committee to invest in the event’s attractions.
