THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL THE WEEKEND OF 5/6 SEPTEMBER
James Bond Weekend
Parts of A View to a Kill were filmed at Amberley, in particular the entrance to Main Strike Mine, and some of our engines and rolling stock were featured in the film.
These will again be in action on the 28th and 29th March to re-enact this scene from the film and there will be James Bond music, films (including A View to a Kill and also period documentaries about the filming at the Museum), new exhibition boards about our James Bond connections near the tunnel entrance and for our younger visitors there will be a brand new code-breaking trail around the site.
We are encouraging owners of Aston Martins to bring them along on either or both days with the opportunity to take part in a cavalcade around the Museum at 2pm each day. Please apply to firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form.
We will be staying open until 17.30 on both days so visitors can enjoy the music and, of course, cocktails.
