Let’s Talk About Speed: Road Safety Week 19-25 November

A message from Storrington Community Speedwatch:

Nationally, Brake For Safety is spreading the word about driving safely, and it reminds us by saying –

“We all drive too fast sometimes…

• “I didn’t notice I was going so fast!”
• “Everyone else is doing it so why can’t I?”
• “A few miles an hour won’t make much difference, will it?”

But every time we driver faster than the speed limit, or too fast for the road conditions, we increase the risk of a crash – and we increase the chance that someone we love will be killed or hurt on a road.

Whoever you are, however you travel, We need to talk about SPEED.”

Here in Storrington, our local Speedwatch Group is keen to talk with local people about how we can all help others to reduce speed, and drive safely. They will be at Place Villerest and Mill Square on Saturday 25th November from 10.00am to 4.00pm, with lots of relevant information, and are looking forward to meeting you.
