Sadly the 3rd of June event has had to be cancelled due to waterlogged parking area.
Country garden designed by Nigel Philips in 2010. Oak lined drive leading to the house and farm opens out to an enclosed courtyard with pleached hornbeam and yew. The herbaceous borders are colourful throughout the year. Vegetable garden with raised beds and greenhouse with white peach and vine. Wild meadow leading to orchard and views across the fields, full of sheep and poultry. Mature trees.
The garden is an open flat space of about two acres, with a large lawn and grass paths leading to wilder areas, ideal for disabled visitors in dry weather. Good selection of mature specimen trees and pretty vegetable garden, greenhouse, orchard, and small pond. Sheep in the fields, hens and geese and an aviary of finches and doves. No dogs as we have free range poultry who roam the borders eating pests.
Open Saturdays 3rd June and 15th July.
Admission: Adult £6.00, Child Free
Home-made teas: Refreshments in aid of Crawley Open House. Picnics welcome.
Accessibility: Wheelchair access over gravel and brick paths, large lawn area and grassy paths.
This garden also opens By Arrangement from Apr 2023 to Sep 2023 for groups of between 1 and 25. This means the garden welcomes visitors on pre-agreed dates. Please contact the garden owner to discuss your requirements and arrange a date for a group or bespoke visit.
