“STORRINGTON COMMUNITY SPEEDWATCH NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Storrington Community Speedwatch volunteers have been able to provide a skeleton service throughout the Covid restrictions, thanks to the support of Sussex Police. We continue to give our time to remind drivers of the speed limits in the area, and provide a vital service to keep pedestrians and other road users safe.
Once the restrictions are lifted, we intend to raise our profile by recruiting more volunteers in order to mount yet more roadside sessions on the busy roads of Storrington. To do this we will also need to purchase a second Laser Device, which will give us the capacity to increase the number of sessions by a third.
We have launched a crowd funding bid to raise a total of £3,000+ to purchase this Laser Device and associated advertising, and are seeking support from local people and businesses to help towards this important project. Full details of how to help can be found at this link:
