There are many groups who need help right now: from youth groups to conservation groups, from community groups to local history groups – you just need to find the one that feels right for you!
Many of these groups will be attending Storrington’s Volunteering Fair at Chanctonbury Leisure Centre on Saturday, 3rd October 2026 from 10am – 1pm.

Pre-Loved Clothes Sale
Lots of pre-loved clothes for you to feast your eyes on, well known brands and designer brands also. All incredibly affordable.
Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th October, 10am – 3pm
It’s safe to say that the pair that run the sale both have an exceedingly well-trained eye, and we’re lucky to be the destination for only their best finds. They have both organised all the pieces impeccably to minimise rummaging frustration.
If you find yourself in that oh-so common full-wardrobe-but-nothing-to-wear dilemma, then why not come along and see if you find your next staple pieces here. Everyone knows the damage that fast fashion causes to the planet, but buying second-hand clothing doesn’t have to mean choosing sustainability over style either. You might just find yourself regularly turning yesterday’s fashion into tomorrow’s trend…
The clothes will be for sale (all in aid of St Mary’s church, Sullington) from 10am – 3pm in The Old Workshop cafe. The cafe will be open during the clothes sale.

Jazz at Sullington Manor Farm
Start Your Weekend with Style – Saturday Brunch with Live Jazz at The Old Workshop Café
Join us for a vibrant morning of live music and great food at The Old Workshop Café as we present the much-anticipated Saturday Brunch with Big House. Kick off your weekend in the best way—with soulful, melodic jazz and a warm, lively atmosphere.
Big House is led by Mike Carey (piano) and Mike Comber (double bass), joined for this special event by guest percussionist and vibraphonist Jim Bernardin. The band originally formed during the Jazz at the Jailhouse sessions in Arundel, where they played as the resident house band supporting a range of guest artists. About six years ago, the group broke out on their own, creating an exciting, melodic, and accessible jazz-infused music that’s both fresh and rooted in tradition.
Their music blends original compositions with inventive takes on jazz standards—always delivered with energy, creativity, and a sense of fun. Big House has released four albums (including a live album of reimagined Duke Ellington tunes), an EP, and has a rich archive of original work ready to be recorded.
This is going to be a monthly series of laid back jazz sessions whilst you’re able to have your morning coffee and a bite to eat too. Each month, Big House will have a new guest with them to keep it fresh and fun. Why not enjoy a relaxed easy-going brunch with some great music too?!

“Hamnet”
Wednesday 14th October 2026
The next film, on Wednesday 14th October will be “Hamnet”, the Oscar winning film, starring Jessie Buckley. In late 16th century England, Agnes, a healer sensitive to the world around her, builds a home with William, a local tutor and aspiring playwright. As their lives fracture, they are tested by distance, silence, and grief.
The showing commences at 7.30pm, at Sullington Hall, Thakeham Road, RH20 3PP.
The November film, on Wed 11th, will be “The Devil Wears Prada 2”, starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
Tickets are £5, and are available from the Card Shop in Storrington. Any unsold tickets will be available on the door, on the night.
There is a Bar and a Raffle during the interval.

A message from Life Community Church, Storrington.
“You are warmly invited to join us for our quarterly Women Together breakfast, hosted by Life Community Church Storrington. Come along for an uplifting morning of connection, encouragement and lovely food.
We will begin with a delicious continental breakfast, giving everyone plenty of time to catch up and enjoy sweet fellowship. Afterwards, we will share an interactive session titled Called and Gifted. In a relaxed and supportive environment, we will explore Scripture, listen to the Lord regarding our unique gifts and callings, and practise hearing God’s heart to encourage one another.
Whether you come regularly or have never joined us before, you will receive a very warm welcome.
