As the Museum prepares for the new season, come along and see what is new for 2017. With our first Toddler Tuesday of the season is on the 21st February, they will be looking at wonderful wheels around the Museum in a fun filled morning of activities for children aged 0-5. Also our first activity on Wednesday the 22nd February, Mr Pepper’s Chalk day, will be looking at the history of the Museum.
So come along and discover, learn and have fun at Amberley Museum. This week we will have a special entry rate at the Child price of £6 per person (or £6.60 with GiftAid) under 4’s go free.
Would you like to come out and help look after Sandgate Park?
Our conservation volunteer group will be meeting to carry out invaluable work around the site to improve habitats and conserve wildlife. We meet at 10.00am by the bench next to the path by the heather coming in from the Sandgate Lane entrance have tea and coffee at 11.00 and finish at 12.00 noon.
We will be working to clear footpaths of invasive plants such as rhododendron and bamboo as well tackling new birch seedlings and clearing around valuable specimen trees to ensure that they have enough growing space. We welcome newcomers and whatever the weather the more the merrier! We supply the equipment and thanks to a grant and donations we have splendid new safety equipment and the all important tea, coffee and cake!

Short-haired bumblebee project manager for Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
She will be telling us about the work of the charity and her work to reintroduce the Short-haired bumblebee in the south east.

Can you spare any time, even an hour or so, to help us make Storrington a better place for people and wildlife? Just come along to any work party. It will be much appreciated.
On Sunday 5th of March Storrington In Bloom volunteers will be out and about in the village cleaning up the streets and open spaces as part of the Keep Britain Tidy Great British Spring Clean. In past years we have had great public support and are hoping for a good turnout again this year.
If you have a couple of hours to spare please come and join us. No experience necessary! We will meet at Place Villerest at 10am.
Bags and litter pickers will be provided but please bring any tools (gloves, broom, rake etc.) that might be useful. All ages welcome.
Refreshments will be served at 12noon. We look forward to seeing you.

The 25th Anniversary performance recorded live in London’s West End.
A wonderful filmed production of the musical “Miss Saigon” for its 25th anniversary. Performed live at the Prince Edward Theatre in London’s West-end. Includes stars of the original cast, Jonathan Pryce, Lea Salonga and Simon Bowman.
At Sullington Parish Hall, Thakeham Road, Storrington RH20 3PP
Performances commence at 7.30pm with an interval when refreshments will be available.
Tickets £5 from ‘The Card Centre’ in Storrington. Unsold tickets will be available for purchase on the door on the night.

Explore science and its history at the Museum. Each day there will be a selection of demonstrations around the Museum, to learn the science behind some of our exhibits. Discover, learn and have fun and follow the science trail around the site.
This is the second year of our spring beer festival, featuring a select range of Sussex ales and ciders, running on the Friday and Saturday evenings (pre-booked tickets advised), and on the Saturday and Sunday daytimes (normal museum entry applies), Sunday is drink up day.
