Thursday 15th February: Storrington Camera Club – One image many results

Camera club members are all given the same 2/3 images and have the opportunity to alter and change them to reflect what they see is an improved version. Members images are then projected on the night with members selecting what they see as the best of the evening. Visitors welcome £3.

Thursday 1st March: Storrington Camera Club – Fourth Competition Evening

Fourth competition evening with an ‘Open subject’ for both Prints and Projected images. The judge for the evening will be Carole Speight ARPS, APAGB

Thursday 15th March: Storrington Camera Club – Members Evening

Please see the website for confirmation. Evening will be a Pete Whieldon small animal photo session or talk.

Thursday 29th March: Storrington Camera Club – Guest speaker Tony Worobiec

Tony Worobiec studied fine art at university spent 18 years as head of a large design faculty in Dorset. In 2002 he made the decision to leave teaching to become a full-time writer and photographer. Since then he has won awards for photography in the UK and internationally and, written 16 books on photography. His talk will cover Fine Art Photography. Visitors welcome £3.

Thursday 12th April: Storrington Camera Club – Members Evening

This will be a travel and wildlife evening with two presentations being given by our Chairman. Please see the website for more details.

Thursday 26th April: Storrington Camera Club – Fifth Print & PI Competition

Fifth competition with an ‘Open subject’ for both Prints and Projected images. The judge for the evening will be Ken Boddy.

Thursday 10th May: Storrington Camera Club – Rob White, Marine and Milky Way Photography

Rob’s talk will cover Marine and Milky Way Photography. He has always been fascinated by the night sky taking photos of the stars. His talk will cover how despite the UK’s changeable weather and a lot of light-pollution it’s still possible to capture images of the Milky Way. His talk will share how he goes about capturing the night sky and the images that he has been able to capture.

Thursday 24th May: Storrington Camera Club – Best of the Year Competition

Members are invited to enter two prints and two projected images that have been submitted over the season into the ‘Best of the Year’ competition. The judge for the evening will be Trevor Gellard FRPS.

FOM spring clean up

Saturday 24th March 10-12. Meet at the meadow (Meadowside, RH20 4EG)

Our Spring work party takes place during Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean campaign. Please do join us if you can and help us clear the meadow and free up the new shrubs ahead of the spring growth. Everyone is welcome, refreshments are available and tools can be provided.

Would you like to come out and help look after Sandgate Park?

Our conservation volunteer group will be meeting to carry out invaluable work around the site to improve habitats and conserve wildlife. We meet at 10.00am by the bench next to the path by the heather coming in from the Sandgate Lane entrance have tea and coffee at 11.00 and finish at 12.00 noon.

We will be working to clear footpaths of invasive plants such as rhododendron and bamboo as well tackling new birch seedlings and clearing around valuable specimen trees to ensure that they have enough growing space. We welcome newcomers and whatever the weather the more the merrier! We supply the equipment and thanks to a grant and donations we have splendid new safety equipment and the all important tea, coffee and cake!
