A Torch of Remembrance will be crossing from East and West Sussex to mark 100 years of the Royal British Legion in Sussex. On Friday 27th August at 11:00 the torch will come to Storrington where a service will be held on the grounds of St Mary’s Parish Church, Storrington.
During the ceremony, we shall witness the passing of the Torch from a Veteran to a member of youth community signifying the passing of responsibility for Remembering the fallen in War from one generation to the next.
Everyone is welcome to the service and at the exhibition at the Storrington and District Museum at the Old School afterwards. If you would like further information of the service or to be part of our branch activities please contact the branch secretary, Stuart Duncan on 01903 741106 or email rblstorrington@outlook.com
