Retro Wheels at Amberley Museum
Visit Amberley Museum and join us in celebrating the bicycle.
See a variety of models displayed across the site, from historic bikes to modern classics, like BMX and Choppers.

We very much look forward to welcoming you back to our annual show at the venue and have 19 artists participating who will be exhibiting an exciting and varied selection of their artworks.
Discover the variety of art exhibited in The Traditional 18th Century Sussex Cottage, The Art Marquee, The Old Studio and Sandy’s Shed Studio.
Enjoy a stroll around the Woodland Sculpture Trail and relax in the Gardens.
Feel free to bring a Picnic and enjoy the views across farmland to Blackdown and Bexley Hill seated on the grass or at one of the garden tables.
At weekends try your hand at one of the Free Art Workshops run by the exhibiting artists. No need to book just drop in.
Refresh at the Pop Up Cafe which serves tea, coffee and snacks.
Children are very welcome and there will be Free Art and Craft Activities for them to participate in as well as the Musical Sculptures throughout the garden to be played!

Directions:
- From the A272 Petworth to Midhurst road,
take the 1st turning right up the hill at Tillington. - Keep going through the next village (Upperton) and
with the estate wall on your right, go down the hill. - Turn left to River Common (signposted).
- Treve Cottage is the 5th house on the right.
The Storrington Horticultural Society Summer Show is at 2pm Saturday 6th August at Storrington Village Hall.
It is open to all, with new competitors and beginners especially welcome.
There are 100 different individual classes in the competition:
- Children’s classes
- Vegetables
- Fruit
- Flowers
- Flower arranging
- Handicraft
- Art and Photography
- Cookery & Preserves
- Schedule Cake
Plus refreshments, a plant stall and a raffle

We have many photographs of pupils at the School from the 1940s onwards.
Again we need your help to date and name individuals.
Do come and see the collection. You may well bump into old class mates!

Join us in revelling in all things Steampunk. Why not dress up yourself and come along?
There will be performers providing entertainment throughout the weekend and plenty of photo opportunities. You’ll also have the chance to visit a number of Steampunk traders and indulge in a little retail therapy.
Our steam trains and regular buses will also be running all weekend.

Storrington Brownie Group photographs and artefacts collected by its leader over many years and kindly donated to the Museum by her family.
However many of the photos are undated with no names for the Brownies in the photos. Can you help?

SONGS OF PRAISE
Sunday, 14th August. 6pm.
A service of hymns, readings, and dedications for the Feast of The Blessed Virgin Mary.
Followed by Festival of Puddings – puddings and Pimm’s to celebrate our parish patronal festival.
There will be a collection for the Mothers’ Union.
All are welcome.
Communications & Commercials at Amberley Museum
Visit Amberley Museum and learn all about how communications have evolved.
See a variety of displays and demonstrations from staff and volunteers, all about the history and mechanics of communications.
Visitors can also explore a collection of commercial vehicles on display across the museum.
Peter, one of our steam locos, and buses will be running all weekend as well.

Great fun for kids at Chanctonbury Leisure Centre on Monday, 22nd August!
Organised by our wonderful Storrington Neighbourhood Wardens, Chris and Alison.
Note: There will also be a Safe Space to meet, grab a bite to eat and talk about any problems kids may have.
Bank Holiday Ale & Crafts at Amberley Museum
Enjoy a family day out at the Museum with music, a selection of locally brewed ales and a variety of our local, talented craftspeople.
What can visitors see and do at this event?
Browse and buy from a number of local craftspeople selling everything from greetings cards and jewellery to stained glass items and wax gifts.
