Dear Patient

Please can I apologise for any disruption to patients services at the surgery this week.

We have been selected to offer the COVID-19 vaccination to our patients over 80 years old. The vaccinations will start on Wednesday 16 December and be taking place from 8:30 am until 19:30 pm. This will also happen on Friday.

Please also accept my apologies on behalf of NHS England for the disruption caused to those of you who were booked for vaccinations on Tuesday, which we have now had to move back in time, as NHS England could not deliver the vaccine today as it promised.

Over the 3 day period of vaccinating, we would be very grateful if patients could avoid calling for routine matters. The number of appointments we will be able to offer will be reduced this week.

We will deal with all urgent matters so don’t hesitate if you feel your problem needs a prompt assessment.

Please don’t call to book your COVID-19 vaccination as we will not be booking by incoming telephone calls. We know which of our patients are eligible and we will contact those patients in turn.

We thank you for all your support and feel honoured that we can start to vaccinate our most at risk patients at this time.

Once again please do not call to book, we will call you.

We send you all our Christmas Wishes.
