Over the past few months the Storrington Community Support Hub has been very busy and has provided support to well over 400 individual residents with essential shopping, delivery of medication and other activities.
We would like to thank all of the volunteers who have and still do selflessly provide their support to this service. With the changes in guidance many volunteers have returned to work and a more normal life style and so availability has reduced.
As the government has relaxed the Covid 19 lockdown restrictions and people have more freedom of movement our monitoring of the number of daily calls shows that they have reduced to less than half of those received in the first three months.
As a consequence from the 13th July the Hub will be available from the following days and times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00am to 1.00pm.
Shielding is currently scheduled to finish on the 31st July after which we will monitor the government guidelines and review the Hub operation. As we expect family, online and other options to be available we will be looking to put the hub into standby mode.
Be assured that if there is a spike the hub will swing into full operation again.
