Parenting teenagers can be challenging! If you live in Storrington & Sullington and have children either in year 6 or at secondary school, then why not boost your confidence in dealing with this tricky phase in your child’s development by signing up to one of these FREE information sessions?

Helping your teenager staying safe online and in the community

Understanding Young People’s Mental Health
West Sussex Mind online workshops
What? A series of friendly, confidential and relaxed workshops where participants will discuss the challenges to young people’s mental health, gain confidence in having conversations about how they are thinking and feeling, and explore ways to help young people with emotional difficulties.
When? A number of dates are available via the website.

Understanding Teenage Behaviour
Bitesize course facilitated by Denise Campbell
What? The course aims to give parents some tips and strategies for improving communication and setting boundaries with their teenagers. This is a special 2-session ‘bitesize’ course and there will be an option for parents who have attended to register for the complete 6-session course.
When? Wednesday 8th June from 7:00pm-9:30pm and
Thursday 9th June from 7:00pm-9:30pm (you need to attend both sessions)
Where? Storrington Football Pavilion (to the rear of Chanctonbury Leisure Centre)

All sessions are being delivered as part of some partnership community development work that is being led by Horsham District Council, Storrington & Sullington Parish Council and local organisations, delivering activities and services for young people in the parish.  Sessions are available at various times of the day: you can see them listed on our What’s On? page.
