Letter to Glebe Surgery patients from Dr. Newsom

Dear Patient
As I am sure you are aware the move to The Glebe Surgery’s new building is approaching very fast so I would like to take this opportunity to update you on progress.
The old surgery will close its doors for the last time at noon on Friday 13th March 2020 and the new building will open 8am on Tuesday 17th March 2020.
The new temporary entrance will be just behind the old surgery and accessed via the new road The Glebe just off Monastery Lane.

Our telephone number will NOT change: 01903 742942
During the move, clinical services will be provided by Innovations in Primary Care (IPC).
IPC already provide GP enhanced access services across West Sussex and are extremely experienced. There will be GPs and a nurse able to provide care for urgent needs. They can be contacted during our move by dialling 01903 742942 (our normal number). There will then be a short telephone message advising a telephone number to call which will then be transferred to IPC to clinically triage. If urgent face-to-face assessment is needed this will be provided from the Portakabins situated on our current site.
If you have a medical problem that is less urgent please consider consulting a local pharmacist, 111 online https://111.nhs.uk or dialling 111.
We hope you understand our ability to provide routine appointments will be a little reduced over the next few weeks but we will endeavour to get this back to normal as soon as it is possible.
Our advice about potential COVID-19 infection remains the same and we are providing further information on our website https://glebesurgerystorrington.nhs.uk/. We are updating this as advice from the NHS becomes available. We appreciate that you will be as keen as we are to see our new building but if you could follow the advice available, we would be grateful.
