Recycling litter bins are now being trialled in Storrington: there is one bin in Place Villerest and another outside the Post Office.
Trials of these bins are also taking place in other nearby towns. Philip Circus, Horsham District Council’s cabinet member for waste, recycling and cleansing, said he was “confident that this is going to add to our recycling performance“. Use of these bins will be monitored and if found to be successful such recycling litter bins might be installed further across the district.
Horsham district is the first place in West Sussex to attain the national recycling target (50 per cent for domestic waste).
