HDC has started working with organisations and communities to try to get the District’s carbon emissions down to zero by 2050. Reaching Carbon Neutrality across the whole District will certainly be a big challenge and we are seeking the views of all residents by asking them to complete a short survey on their climate action views, their priorities for the District, and what we might do to be able to support them.
This is not just a job for the Council but for everyone in the whole District, so we will be working closely with partners and key organisations such as West Sussex County Council, as well as businesses, parishes and local community groups, to work together to achieve this.
We have a draft strategy for the District in place but you don’t need to have read the strategy to respond so we hope we will get lots of responses. The survey opened on 26 June and runs until 31 August. Please follow this link to take the survey: www.horsham.gov.uk/climateactionstrategy.
