New Consultation Details Announced

Highways England have just announced that the new public consultation exercise about the A27 Arundel Bypass scheme will take place between Friday 30 August and Thursday 24 October.

From 30 August, the HE’s A27 Arundel Bypass website will contain key information about the route options (of which there are likely to be five), and it will include the brochure, the online consultation response form, and various background reports and supporting information.

People throughout the area (including Storrington) will also be able to find out where they can view the unstaffed exhibitions, as well as where they can find hard copies of the brochure and consultation response form.

The first of the public consultation events – which will launch the whole exercise – will be held in the Cathedral Centre on London Road, Arundel on Friday 30 August between 5.30 pm and 8 pm.

A consultation van will be at the Impulse Leisure Centre, Spierbridge Road, Storrington, RH20 4BG between 3pm and 6pm on Wednesday 11 September.

There will be an unstaffed exhibition at Storrington Library from 9.30am to 5.30pm on Wednesday, 25 September.

Please make this information widely available to your friends and neighbours, encouraging them all not to miss this opportunity to let Highways England know their views about the need for a bypass on the A27 at Arundel, as well as the best route (once the Options are known).

Comments can be submitted online by completing the online response form at
www.highwaysengland.co.uk/a27arundel or in writing to the following freepost address: Freepost A27 ARUNDEL, or by visiting a consultation exhibition.
All responses must be received by midnight 24 October 2019.
