For the fourth year running Storrington has won a Silver Gilt award for our RHS Britain in Bloom competition entry. Each entry is measured against a national standard set by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). The points scored by Storrington represent steady progress towards the next and highest level which is the Gold award. This now seems to be within reach.
On Wednesday 14th September, representatives from Storrington in Bloom, St Mary’s Churchyard and Friends of Meadowside attended the Britain in Bloom regional awards ceremony at Ferneham Hall, Fareham. We are delighted to announce that as well as the Silver Gilt award for our Town Centre the following awards were also achieved:
- Friends of Meadowside – Silver in the “Our Community” category
- Friends of Meadowside – ‘Thriving’ award (next to top level) in the RHS “It’s Your Neighbourhood” competition
- St Mary’s Churchyard – a Silver Gilt award (as last year).
Congratulations to everybody involved in our entry.
