A brand new mural is coming to Storrington’s Place Villerest. A Brighton street artist, working as @SinnaOne, will be on site Monday through to Wednesday 11-13th May. Finishing touches will be made a week later. Don’t miss this exciting creation emerging in our historic town centre!
So what’s it all about?
This is a prominent nature artwork dreamt up by village residents for its residents. It celebrates the white stork as a bold emblem of rebirth and hope in our future. It is wholly funded by the community and we need a few more pounds in the pot ASAP please! Do click on JustGiving which has plenty more details and background to the mural. Any contributions, however small are most welcome.
The enigmatic storks and their nesting behaviour help us appreciate the importance of the natural world underpinning our whole lives. This mural will officially be opened at the start of the White Stork & Nature Festival on bank holiday Saturday 23rd May at 9:30am. We hope you will come to Villerest to celebrate this artwork. Then, during the course of the day, also immerse yourself in the stalls, the talks and nature conversations all happening at the Chanctonbury Leisure Centre.
