The Horsham District Council website shows no contested Parish Council elections in local parishes in its history of elections results going back to 2016. We asked the HDC Elections Team when elections had last been contested in local parishes and we are still waiting for a response.
We can easily change this. The cat is doing something about it, why don’t you?
It’s not too late to submit a nomination to become a councillor and force an election. You just need two other people of your parish to support you. The HDC Election Team will help you make sure you submit the forms correctly.
Are you passionate about your community? Do you want to help make a long-lasting change? Do you have innovative ideas for the council? Do you have concerns about a specific issue and want to do something about it? If this is you, then we (everyone who lives and works here) need you. We need people from all backgrounds and experiences who reflect their community to put themselves forward for election. Make a change and become a councillor.
Become a candidate or the cat will get in!
You have until 4pm on 4th April to submit your nomination. Nominations must be submitted by hand to the Returning Officer, Election Office, Horsham District Council, Parkside, Chart Way, Horsham, RH12 1RL.
