Storrington and Sullington Neighbourhood Wardens, Chris and Dave, recently took a group of local residents from their regular ‘Cuppa and a Chat’ sessions for a coach trip to the Blue Bird Café in Ferring for breakfast.
The weather was glorious, and the group enjoyed a breakfast of their choice followed by a sit near the beach, taking in the views.
Chris said: “For some of the group the Cuppa and Chat sessions and trips are their only contact with other people of the month, so it was great to see them all chatting and having a good time.”
Horsham District Council’s Neighbourhood Wardens run a varied programme of activities designed to combat social isolation and bring their local communities together.
