The petition to prevent large lorries turning between Manley’s Hill and School Hill (see post of 22 February) was presented to County Councillors at the Chanctonbury County Local Committee on 13th June.
The petition containing approximately 500 signatures was submitted jointly by a local resident and the owner of one of the businesses facing onto the roundabout. The councillors were receptive and the chairman, Philip Circus, has said that council officers will be asked to look at the problem again. It is set to be discussed at a County Council meeting on 5th July.
