Thursdays Together (for over 65’s)
Thursdays except the last Thursday of the month when we are hosting High Tea, 2:30pm – 4pm
We would love to see you for a cuppa, come for a game or two, perhaps crafting, or just for a chat.
You are very welcome to come along, invite a friend and join in.
Please check the event is taking place, especially at holiday times.
See the Changes to Storrington Recycling Collection Friday 5th April link for more details and the updated two helpful documents which we hope will clarify some of those complexities: the first one is a straightforward summary of some common everyday packaging items and indicates which can be passed to Horsham District Council Recycling via your own blue top bin; which to the local SGL recycling bins; and which ones can go to Supermarkets or other specific stores. You will notice that some of the items can be taken to more than one of these. Sadly, the only option for some items is your Horsham DC waste bin.

The aim of Repair Cafes is to encourage mending items so they are not thrown away needlessly. This will reduce what goes to landfill by Reusing, Repairing and, as a last resort, Recycling.
Come along with any of your items that need mending.
The Repair Cafe is open on the 3rd Saturday of each month, from 10am – 12 noon.

A Community Choir in Storrington
A dementia friendly choir at Trinity Methodist Church, Thakeham Road, Storrington RH20 3NG.
Led by cognitive stimulation therapist Ric Gray, the session runs from 1030-1200 with time allowed for a cup of tea or coffee and a chance to make friends before the singing starts.
The choir is aimed at people aged 55 or over who are experiencing memory problems, but is open to all. No auditions, no sheet music, just good fun! The sessions are most informal and we don’t take ourselves too seriously. The songs we sing are well known across different genres and we use a screen to display the lyrics and have accompanying backing tracks.
Anyone interested can contact Robert Gamble at robertgamblerc@gmail.com or 07958 232874.
